Lamen Bay is preparing to welcome thousands of members of the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu as it hosts the Church's 77th General Assembly from 19 to 25 July.

The General Assembly is one of the most important gatherings in the life of the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu, bringing together ministers, elders, delegates, church leaders, ministry representatives and members from congregations throughout the country.

Local congregations, community leaders and volunteers in Lamen Bay are undertaking preparations for accommodation, transport, worship venues, food services, sanitation, security, communications and the reception of visiting delegations.

The gathering will provide an opportunity for the Church to worship together, review its work, consider matters affecting congregations and communities, strengthen fellowship and make decisions that will guide the future mission and administration of the PCV.

The Assembly is also expected to highlight the contribution of local communities and volunteers whose hospitality and service will support the large number of visitors travelling to Lamen Bay.

Delegates and congregations are encouraged to follow official PCV announcements for confirmed travel arrangements, registration information, programme schedules and other logistical updates.

The Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu acknowledges the preparations being made by the host congregations, local communities and supporting partners and calls on members throughout the country to remember the Assembly in prayer.
