PCV Mission Conference 2026 - Evangelism Study

A practical biblical study on evangelism prepared for the 2026 PCV Mission Conference. The study explains the meaning and purpose of evangelism, the Great Commission, discipleship, the role of the Holy Spirit, and practical ways congregations can share the Gospel and make faithful disciples.

This Evangelism Study was prepared by Elder Sokomanu for the PCV Mission Conference held at Siviri Village, North Efate Presbytery, from 19 to 25 September 2026. The study is built around Matthew 28:18–20 and explores the biblical meaning of evangelism as proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, calling people to repentance and faith, and helping believers become faithful disciples. The resource presents three main lessons: 1. Evangelism is proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ. 2. Evangelism helps people become followers and disciples of Jesus Christ. 3. Evangelism is carried out through the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. The study also examines supporting passages from Acts, Romans, Corinthians, Luke, Mark and other New Testament texts. It includes practical guidance for congregations on prayer, building relationships, sharing personal testimony, explaining the Gospel clearly, inviting people into Christian community, following up new believers, and developing a multiplication pattern of discipleship. The resource concludes with discussion questions, a salvation appeal, a personal declaration of commitment, and a closing prayer.
