A strategic leadership guide for the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu Education Authority (PCVEA), outlining five key pillars for strengthening Christian education, local leadership, educational growth, stewardship, infrastructure and partnerships across Vanuatu.
Revisioning Mission is a strategic vision and action framework developed for Church leaders and Presbyteries participating in the PCVEA leadership gathering held from 21–25 September 2026 at Siviri Village, Rongorongowia Session, North Efate Presbytery. The guide presents five strategic pillars for re-aligning school administration, leadership, growth, stewardship and partnerships with God’s mission across Vanuatu: 1. Education as Holistic Mission – using education as a vehicle for Gospel witness, Christian character formation, ethical grounding and community renewal. 2. Empowering Local Leadership – strengthening principals, head teachers, school staff, Sessions and Presbytery education committees through servant leadership, administration, financial integrity and accountability. 3. Inclusive & Expanded Growth – broadening access from Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) through secondary education and Technical & Vocational Education and Training (TVET), including opportunities through institutions such as Epule Education Centre, Talua Theological Training Institute and Korvan Community Health School. 4. Stewardship & Infrastructure – strengthening land and asset management, facility planning, disaster-resilient classrooms, renewable energy and clean-water infrastructure. 5. Community & Partnerships – strengthening relationships with custom landowners, Church Sessions, the Vanuatu Ministry of Education and Training, Presbyterian partners, mission organisations and community bodies. The guide concludes with a group action-planning exercise asking Presbyteries and Church Sessions to identify how they can partner with PCVEA to advance Christ’s Kingdom through education.
